Ministry of Internal Affairs advised to exchange a driving license

Ukrainian Interior Ministry advises drivers who plan to travel abroad to avoid awkward situations that can happen when crossing the border, yet exchange driver's license, although it is not necessarily. The press service noted that at present the main document regulating international road traffic, which establishes the requirements for its members and their instruments is the International Convention on Road Traffic of 1968, as amended, which came into force on 26. 03. 2006.
In accordance with its requirements, with the March 29, 2011 (Annex 6 of the Convention ) in the driver's license must indicate the date it expires. Ukraine is a party to the Convention of 1974. So now all the drivers who receive permits in the territory of our country after that date and plan to visit the countries of the Convention will need a driver's documents, which included the above data.
The draft government decree on May 8, 1993 3340 ... Currently in Ukraine there are seven types of driver's licenses, including a sample of the USSR. All of these certificates shall remain valid. However, those citizens who intend to cross the border and get driver's license after March 29 this year, must have a certificate in the driver's deadline for action, in accordance with the requirements of the Convention. Those citizens who have had driver's license, may continue to use the certificates, without changes.

However, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine has already been accessed by representatives of the Association of International Road Carriers of Ukraine to immediately exchange the old-style driving licenses to the new, where N is the deadline for action. The request was due to problems arising abroad, related to the requirements of foreign law enforcement agencies with respect to changes to existing licenses to permit the European standard.
